Govinda accidentally shoots himself in the leg, hospitalised in Mumbai

PTC News Desk: Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was rushed to the hospital this morning after suffering a bullet injury to his leg at his Mumbai residence, according to the Mumbai Police. The incident occurred around 4:45 am when a misfire from his licensed revolver caused the injury. Fortunately, the actor is reported to be out of danger.

Govinda, who is 60 years old and recently became a Shiv Sena leader, was alone at home at the time of the accident. According to his manager, Shashi Sinha, Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata when the mishap took place. While placing his licensed revolver back in its case, he accidentally dropped it. The gun discharged, and a bullet struck his leg.

Sinha told news agency ANI, “The doctor has removed the bullet, and his condition is stable. He is currently under observation at the hospital.”

The hospital has not yet released an official statement regarding Govinda’s condition, and his family is expected to address the media with more information soon.

Govinda, known for his iconic comedy roles and dance numbers during the 90s, joined the Eknath Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena earlier this year in March, marking his entry into active politics.

As of now, fans await an official update on his recovery while sending their best wishes to the beloved actor.
