YouTuber arrested in Rajasthan for threatening actor Salman Khan
PTC News Desk: A 25-year-old Rajasthani man named Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar has been taken into custody by the Mumbai police’s Crime Branch for reportedly threatening Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan on the YouTube channel “Are Chhodo Yaar.” After Gujar was transported to Mumbai, he appeared in front of a municipal court on Sunday, whereupon the court placed him under police detention till June 18.
The police allege that the complaint was lodged after an audience saw a video on the “Aare Chhodo Yaar” channel in which a person threatened Salman Khan and claimed to be associated with gang members Goldy Brar, Vivek Bhaiya, Rohit, and Jitin while speaking in Hindi. “Ram Ram mere sabhi Bhaiyo (Ram Ram all my brothers)… Brothers, we are all brothers now, Goldy is my brother, Nitin, Vivek, Rohit, and Jitin, they are all here, and there are many more brothers,” stated some of the content, which the police recorded.
The video went on to say, “We communicated what we wanted and our goal was obvious, but he is not listening. His pride is wounded. He’s got an ego and an attitude. He regards himself as the Dabangg Khan.
Threats were made in the film as it went on: “We won’t tell him who is a fanatical Hindutva and who is Khan.” Alright, no problem, all of us brothers are available here. We’ve set a trap for today, and we know where to go, what to do, what not to do, and who to do it with. Whoever makes a mistake will incur consequences. It has no bearing on us. Salman Khan, the star, is approaching in the same direction as us. if he is protected by Z plus or Y plus. But since we made the announcement, we will follow through on what we said. We shall finish everyone with whom we collide. Salutations to Bharat.

The Indian Penal Code (IPC) has sections 506(2) (criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), and 66(d) (cheating by personation using computer resource) that the South Cyber police have filed a case under based on this video. After that, the matter was given to the Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) for further examination.
The accused’s email address and phone number were located by the police using technical evidence, which also helped them locate Gujar’s home in the Rajasthani area of Bundi. He was taken into custody by a police team from a hostel, and they told his uncle about the arrest.
In the course of the court hearings, the Crime Branch requested that the accused be placed under detention so that they could examine his phone data records and ascertain whether or not he was connected to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. In addition, the authorities want to know why he uploaded the video, look into any connection to the Salman Khan firing case, and review his past criminal history.
