US law enforcement refutes reports of Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar’s killing

PTC News Desk: The Fresno Police Department in California has dismissed circulating reports suggesting that one of the individuals involved in a recent shooting incident was the Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar.

Lieutenant William J. Dooley clarified in an emailed statement on Wednesday that the victim identified in the shooting is not Goldy Brar, contrary to widespread misinformation circulating on social media and various online news platforms.

Despite receiving inquiries from across the globe due to the misinformation, the police emphasized that the victim’s identity as Goldy Brar is entirely false and unsubstantiated. Lieutenant Dooley expressed uncertainty regarding the origin of the rumor but emphasised its rapid spread across online platforms.

The police have yet to disclose the identities of the two individuals involved in the shooting incident. According to preliminary reports, the altercation leading to the shooting occurred at Fairmont and Holt Avenue in the northwestern area of Fresno on Tuesday evening.

The younger of the two victims, reported to be in his 30s, sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries later. The other victim, who suffered lower-body injuries, was treated and subsequently discharged from the hospital.

Despite the police’s efforts to clarify the situation, reports of the shooting, particularly in India, quickly gained traction, with claims circulating that the deceased individual was Goldy Brar. However, details provided by US media outlets were either incomplete or inaccurate, leading to widespread confusion surrounding the incident.
