‘Tera India nahi hai yeh’: Pakistan cricketer Haris Rauf confronts fan, mistaking him for Indian | Watch
PTC Web Desk: Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf recently got into a scuffle with a group of fans in Florida, US. The incident occurred while Haris Rauf was out for a walk with his wife. Fans approached him for pictures, but the situation quickly escalated when one fan allegedly abused Rauf from a distance.
Haris Rauf, visibly angered, threatened to beat up the abusive fan. Initially, Rauf assumed the fan was from India, but it turned out the fan was actually a supporter of Pakistan cricket. “Tera India nahi hai yeh,” he was heard telling his wife before rushing over to confront the fans.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the fan is heard clarifying, “Nahi, main Pakistan se hoon, 1 picture maangi hai bass aapka fan hoon,” to which a furious Rauf responded, “Pakistani hai aur yeh teri haalat hai. Baap ko gaali dega,” before being pulled away by his wife.
Notably, Pakistan’s cricket team is set to return home on Tuesday following their disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA. The team was eliminated in the group stage after close defeats to co-hosts USA and arch-rivals India. This early exit has led to significant backlash from fans and the Pakistani cricketing fraternity.
In response to the criticism, several players, including captain Babar Azam, have chosen to spend time in London rather than return to Pakistan immediately. However, other members of the squad will face the displeasure of fans upon their return.
New coach Gary Kirsten also expressed his frustration with the team’s performance and lack of unity. After their final league match in the T20 World Cup against Ireland, Kirsten reportedly gave the players an earful in the dressing room. “There’s no unity in Pakistan’s team. They call it a team, but it isn’t a team. They aren’t supporting each other; everyone is separated, left and right. I’ve worked with many teams, but I’ve never seen such a situation,” Kirsten reportedly told the players.
