T20 World Cup 2024: Adidas unveils India’s new T20I jersey in Dharamsala | See pics
T20 World Cup: Sportswear powerhouse Adidas, renowned as the official kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team, recently showcased the senior men’s team’s latest T20I jersey. The unveiling took place amidst much anticipation, with a captivating video shared on social media capturing the event live from Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.
The footage featured prominent players such as India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, along with Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, observing a colossal replica of the new Indian jersey soaring above the iconic HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.
In this fresh rendition of the jersey, Adidas introduced a vibrant fusion of blue and orange hues. The shoulders sport a striking orange, while the rest of the garment is adorned in a deep blue. Adding flair, two parallel orange stripes accentuate the waistline. Emblematic of Adidas’s signature style, the three trademark white stripes adorn the sides of the new Indian T20I jersey. Additionally, a tricolor stripe encircles the collar, adding a patriotic touch to the ensemble.

The timing of Adidas’s revelation hints at the possibility of India donning this new attire at the forthcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to kick off on June 2 across the USA and the West Indies. Notably, Adidas assumed the role of India’s official kit sponsor in May 2023. Their design prowess was previously showcased during the World Test Championship final and the ODI World Cup, garnering significant fanfare. The ODI World Cup jersey, in particular, witnessed a surge in sales as enthusiasts clamored to acquire it before the prestigious tournament, hosted by India.
The buzz surrounding the rumored new kit for the T20 World Cup intensified as fans shared speculative images across various social media platforms. Adidas’s penchant for unveiling India’s kits in innovative ways has been evident since their initial collaboration. Last year, they orchestrated a grand unveiling ceremony at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, captivating audiences with their creative flair.
The genesis of India’s association with Adidas dates back to May 23, 2023, when the BCCI announced a multi-year partnership with the sports apparel giant, marking a significant milestone in Indian cricket’s journey. This collaboration ensued following the conclusion of the previous kit sponsor, MPL’s contract, which was slated to conclude in 2023. Prior to Adidas, the mantle of kit sponsorship was briefly held by Killer Jeans, a prominent clothing brand, succeeding MPL.
