Punjabi youth Jasmer Singh, nephew of Congress MLA, dies in tragic road accident in Canada

PTC News Desk: Jasmer Singh, the nephew of Congress MLA Ladi Sherowalia from Shahkot Constituency in Jalandhar, tragically lost his life in a road accident in Canada. Jasmer, who had been riding in the mountains with his friend, met with the fatal accident that has left his family and community in deep sorrow.

Jasmer Singh and his friend, Amandeep Singh Kahlon, a resident of Amritsar, had embarked on a motorcycle ride through a mountainous region. During their return journey, the bike lost balance, causing both riders to plummet into a 300-foot deep ravine.

The severity of the accident necessitated an air ambulance to transport them to the hospital. Unfortunately, upon arrival, doctors pronounced Jasmer Singh dead, while Amandeep Singh remains under treatment for serious injuries.

The devastating news reached Jasmer Singh’s family under heart-wrenching circumstances. His wife and children, who had been in India, were at the Delhi airport preparing to return to Canada when they were informed of his death. The family is now preparing for Jasmer Singh’s body to be repatriated to India for the final rites.

Plans are underway to bring Jasmer Singh’s body back to his hometown in India. The cremation will take place in Sahla Nagar, Malsian Shahkot, in accordance with Sikh customs. The loss of Jasmer Singh is a profound tragedy for his family, friends, and the wider community, who mourn the untimely passing of a beloved individual.
