Pune woman rescued after falling into 100-foot gorge while taking selfie
PTC News Desk: According to the police, a 29-year-old woman was saved when she fell into a steep canyon in Satara, Maharashtra, while snapping a picture.
The woman fell into the 100-foot-deep canyon next to the Thoseghar waterfalls while visiting the Borne Ghat in the Satara district with several friends from Pune.
A Home Guard and some mountaineers hauled the woman out of the gorge safely. On social media, the video of her rescue has become very popular. The woman was taken to the hospital quickly, according to the police, and her condition is currently said to be stable.
This occurs a few days following the death of a 26-year-old Instagram influencer who fell into a canyon at the Kumbhe waterfall, which is close to Raigad, Maharashtra.

On July 16, Aanvi Kamdar had gone to the waterfall with seven of her pals. While they were filming a video, Aanvi fell into a deep crack, which turned the excursion tragically.
Following the incident, local authorities asked visitors to prioritize safety and enjoy tourism in a responsible manner while taking in the breathtaking scenery. They emphasized the need of abstaining from dangerous behaviour that could claim life.
