Photographer captures rare moment of tigress ‘waving’ at tourists | Watch Video
PTC News Desk: Although wildlife photography frequently catches breathtaking scenes, a recent video from Maharashtra’s Tadoba National Park – Andhari Tiger Reserve has shocked people online. Celebrated tigress Maya appeared to “wave” at tourists in a moment captured by photographer Nikhil Giri that looks almost too wonderful to be true.
The stunning tigress is seen near a body of water in the enthralling footage. She drinks before turning to face the camera and lifting a paw in a wave-like motion.
Satisfying her thirst and sending us a gracious salute. The caption says, “Captured this majestic moment at Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve.”
After Giri posted the video to social media, it gained a lot of traction, garnering over 1.6 million views and a plethora of comments. People expressed their awe and joy in the comments that flooded in from all over the internet. Absolutely amazing! What a wonderful creature,” a user said. “This is why I love wildlife photography—it brings such rare and beautiful moments to the world,” said a different commenter.
Known as the “queen of Tadoba,” Maya has long been a favorite among tourists and photographers. Her notoriety is further cemented by this most recent video, which serves as a reminder of the beauty and awe of the natural world.
