Paris Olympics 2024: Complete list of 117 Indian athletes competing at the games
Paris Olympics 2024: India will send 117 competitors to the Olympics in Paris, which will take place in the French city on July 26. India’s delegation to the Olympics will be the second largest ever, with 121 athletes representing the country in Tokyo in 2021. The Indian delegation to the Games consists of 70 male and 47 female participants.
With 29 athletes, track and field athletes will be the most represented, followed by shooters with 21 competitors. The sole weightlifter from India competing in the Tokyo Games in 2021 will be Mirabai Chanu, a silver medallist. Judo, rowing, and equestrian sports will each have a single competitor.
India will field almost a 1:1 athlete to support staff ratio for the first time in the history of the Olympics. Along with the contingent, 72 other members of support personnel and 67 coaches will travel to the Olympics in Paris.

“Athletes are now at the center of our planning and preparations as we enter a new era at IOA. The Indian Olympics Association President stated in a statement on Wednesday, July 17, “You can see this from the fact that instead of the usual 3:1 ratio between athletes and support staff, we have worked hard to change it to slightly better than 1:1 ratio.”
