No ‘sadhana’ complete without self-discipline: Yogi Adityanath to kanwariyas
PTC News Desk: Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, stated on Monday that extensive preparations for the Kanwar Yatra have been done in collaboration with the Center. He also emphasized the importance of self-discipline among kanwaryias to ensure the event’s successful completion.
He encouraged the followers to practice self-control and hold fast to their faith in order to help ensure that the “yatra” is a success as well as to enjoy it.
“Without self-control, no holiday, celebration, or’sadhana’ is complete. Our commitment needs to be both outside and inwardly focused in order to guarantee a smooth and safe journey. “Shivo Bhutva Shivam Yajet” means to adore Lord Shiva by first becoming Shiva, he declared while addressing reporters at his home. He was then quoted as saying as much in an office-released statement.

Since the yatra started on July 22, there have been a few isolated episodes of violence involving kanwariyas, though the CM did not go into detail about them. It ends on August 6.
“The Shravan month’s Kanwar Yatra is well-known around the world. In a statement released here, the CM stated that during this time, devotees of Shiva from all over the nation—including North India—engage in profound Mahadevi rites and demonstrate their devotion by carrying out “Jalabhishek” at Shiva temples.
According to Yogi, detailed plans have been made by the federal and state governments to ensure a secure and well-organised Kanwar Yatra. “To prevent any problems, chaos, or playing with faith, measures have been put in place, including enhanced patrolling, cleanliness measures, and health camps,” he continued.
The CM stated, “Arrangements have also been made for flower showers and drone and helicopter surveillance as needed.” During the Hindu holy month of Shravan, a huge number of devotees travel from various locations with “kanwars,” carrying holy water from the Ganga, to perform “Jalabhishek” of Shivlings.
