Minister Smriti Irani takes a scooter ride through Amethi
PTC News Desk: Minister Smriti Irani, 48, made waves in her Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha constituency of Amethi as she took to the streets on a scooter, clad in a sari and helmet, to connect with the people. During her ride, she engaged in conversations, posed for selfies, and interacted with BJP workers, all while assessing the situation in her electoral area.
Having secured victory in the 2019 elections by defeating Rahul Gandhi, Irani has been nominated once again by the BJP to contest from Amethi. Prior to her scooter tour, she paid a visit to Ayodhya, where she offered prayers at the Ram temple.
Meanwhile, the Congress is yet to unveil its candidate for the Amethi seat, historically considered a stronghold of the Gandhi family. Amethi is slated to cast its votes in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 20.
