PTC News Desk: Hemant Soren, the former chief minister, has been granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court in connection with a money laundering case involving the land fraud. According to his attorney, Arunabh Chowdhury, the court declared him not guilty of the crime. On June 13, the high court postponed making a decision regarding Soren’s bail request.
“Soren has been given a bail. According to the court, the petitioner is not guilty of the crime at first glance, and he is unlikely to commit another crime while out on bail, he told PTI.
At present, Hemant Soren is being held at the Birsa Munda jail located in Ranchi. He serves as the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM) executive president.
On January 31, Soren was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate. Meenakshi Arora, a senior advocate representing him, has contended that Soren was unfairly singled out in a case that was manufactured and driven by politics.

Abhishek Prasad, Soren’s media consultant, said that the former chief minister gave him instructions to alter official documents in order to alter the land’s ownership data.
