GST Council: ਨਲਾਈਨ ਗੇਮਿੰਗ ‘ਤੇ GST ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ, 400 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਛਾਲ
Nirmala Sitharaman: ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਸੀਤਾਰਮਨ ਨੇ GST ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੀ 54ਵੀਂ ਬੈਠਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਗੇਮਿੰਗ ‘ਤੇ GST ਲਗਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਫੀ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 1 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2023 ਤੋਂ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਗੇਮਿੰਗ ‘ਤੇ 28 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 6 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਜੀਐੱਸਟੀ ਕੁਲੈਕਸ਼ਨ 412 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਵਧੀ ਹੈ।

ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਫੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਸੀਤਾਰਮਨ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਗੇਮਿੰਗ, ਕੈਸੀਨੋ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜ ਦੌੜ ‘ਤੇ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ 6 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ‘ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਲੀਆ 412 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਵਧ ਕੇ 6909 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਅੰਕੜਾ 1,349 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਸੀ।
1 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ, 2023 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਗੇਮਿੰਗ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਦਲੀਲ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ 28 ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਹੁਨਰ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕਾ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਟੈਕਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਐਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 6 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਕੈਸੀਨੋ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਲੀਆ 30 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਵਧ ਕੇ 214 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ 164.6 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਸੀ।
ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ, ਸਨੈਕਸ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਸੇਵਾ ‘ਤੇ ਜੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਟੀ
ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ, ਸਨੈਕਸ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਲਈ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਘਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸਿਹਤ ਬੀਮਾ (ਜੀਓਐਮ) ‘ਤੇ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਲਈ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੀਓਐਮ ਨੇ ਰੀਅਲ ਅਸਟੇਟ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਮਾਲੀਆ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸੰਜੇ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਮਕੀਨ ‘ਤੇ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਹੁਣ 12 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ‘ਤੇ 5 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਟ ਸ਼ੇਅਰਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ‘ਤੇ 5 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੇਦਾਰਨਾਥ, ਬਦਰੀਨਾਥ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਸ਼ਨੋਦੇਵੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਤੀਰਥ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
