Elderly man hit by speeding Audi while crossing road in Noida, dies; incident caught on CCTV
PTC News Desk: An elderly man was struck and killed instantly by a speeding Audi that was seen on camera in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Days earlier, there was outcry over the deaths of two techies in Pune who were struck by a speeding Porsche driven by an inebriated teenager. In the Noida case, the old man is seen crossing the street when all of a sudden, an Audi crashes in front of him.
According to the police, the incident took place in Noida Sector 53, close to the Kanchenjunga Apartment. Janak Dev Shah, a 63-year-old resident of Sector 53, had retired from All India Radio.
The cops claimed he was heading to get milk and that the impact was so strong that he was propelled several feet into the air.
His family began searching for him after he did not come home, and they discovered his body on the road. The event has prompted the filing of a police report. According to the police, they are looking for information about the owner and the car.
