Diljit Dosanjh’s gracious rebuttal to Punjabi rapper Nseeb is winning hearts | Know the controversy

He recently achieved a historic milestone as the first artist to host the largest Punjabi show outside of India. With arenas and stadiums packed to the brim, Diljit Dosanjh brought an infectious energy to the stage, shattering stereotypes and etching his name in the annals of history.
However, amidst the euphoria of his monumental success, a controversy erupted when Diljit Dosanjh found himself targeted by fellow Punjabi rapper Nseeb. Taking to social media, Nseeb shared an old photo of Dosanjh without his turban, accompanied by a pointed message: “You’re Not Punjab…. Go and learn how to tie a turban.” This jab came in the wake of Dosanjh’s electrifying performance of the song ‘Ishq Mitaye,’ which carries the lyrics “main hu Punjab.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Nseeb altered his profile picture to the same image of Dosanjh he had shared, intensifying the online skirmish. In a subsequent incident, Nseeb took aim at Dosanjh’s remarks in a video, where he cautioned against selling one’s soul to Satan for success. This sparked further controversy, exacerbated by Nseeb’s sharing of screenshots from individuals accusing Dosanjh of being a sell-out.
Initially maintaining his characteristic composure, Diljit Dosanjh finally broke his silence on the matter, taking to his social media to respond to Nseeb with a gracious rebuttal. Sending love and well wishes to his detractor, Dosanjh expressed his hopes for Nseeb’s prosperity and spiritual growth.
In a heartfelt message, Dosanjh conveyed, “Sab Gobind Hai, Naeeb Veere baut pyar tuanu, rab tuanu baut baut taraki deve te chardi kalaa ch rakhe. Oh app hee bol riha te aap hee jawab v de riha, mere valo sirf pyar te pyar.” (“The Lord speaks through all, Nseeb brother, much love to you, may God bless you abundantly and keep your spirits high. You are speaking, and you are also answering, from my side, only love and more love.”)
Further delving into his spiritual sentiments, Diljit Dosanjh shared another story highlighting the divine presence in all hearts, and the singular importance of spiritual unity. “Ek Omkaar, odey bina kush v nhi, karn kaaran prabh ek hai doosar nahi koi Nanak ts balharne jal thal maheeal soe, ek hai, ek hai, ek hai” (“There is nothing without the One Omkaar, the cause of all causes, there is no other like God. Nanak is devoted to that One, who is one, who is one, who is one.”)
This isn’t Dosanjh’s first encounter with controversy. Earlier, accused of ties to the Illuminati, Dosanjh ingeniously flipped the narrative, adopting the term ‘Dil-ulimiati’ as the title of his tour and album. Additionally, rumors regarding his personal life have circulated, including speculation about his marital status, which was debunked by Oshin Brara, the woman erroneously linked to him as his wife.
