CBI arrests ‘mastermind’ of NEET-UG paper leak in Patna

PTC News Desk: The alleged mastermind of the Bihar NEET-UG case was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Patna on Thursday.

multiple damning documents were found when the investigation agency searched multiple places in Patna and Kolkata connected to him after his arrest, according to officials.

The primary accused has been given 10-day custody by a local court to be questioned by the CBI.

Rakesh Ranjan, often known as Rocky, allegedly owned a hotel in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Rocky obtained the leaked NEET-UG question paper and forwarded it to a Chintu, who disseminated and printed the answers for the students.

In addition, Rocky has prepared NEET-UG exam solutions following the leak of the question papers. Rocky employed a number of Patna and Ranchi MBBS students as solutions.

The primary suspect was taken into custody one day after two additional suspects, one of whom was a candidate, were apprehended by the investigating agency in connection with the case.

Two people have been arrested: Sunny, a Nalanda native and NEET-UG applicant; and Ranjit Kumar, the father of another candidate, is from Gaya.

As per the official statement, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained nine individuals in the Bihar NEET-UG paper leak case, one each for suspected manipulation in Latur and Godhra, Gujarat, and one from Dehradun for a broad conspiracy.
