Bomb threats sent to multiple hospitals in Jaipur via email
PTC News Desk: On Sunday morning, several hospitals in Jaipur, including CK Birla Hospital and Monilek Hospital, received bomb threats via email. The threatening emails arrived around 7 am, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.
Police officials and bomb disposal squads were dispatched to the affected hospitals to investigate the threats. The emails contained alarming claims that bombs were placed under hospital beds and in bathrooms, and they mentioned “terrorists” and “cultists” as being behind the supposed threats, according to PTI.
This incident follows a similar scare that occurred the previous day. On Saturday, Ambience Mall in Gurugram, Haryana, received a bomb threat via email. A search of the mall revealed no suspicious items.
Additionally, a major mall in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, was evacuated on Saturday after receiving a bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax.

In May, a widespread scare affected about 250 schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). The threats triggered large-scale evacuations as parents rushed to collect their children. Authorities, including PCR vehicles, district police, bomb disposal squads, and various other agencies, conducted extensive searches but ultimately declared the threats a mass hoax.
The police investigation into the Jaipur threats revealed that the emails were sent using a virtual private network (VPN) to obscure the sender’s location. The sender utilized a Russian company’s email service to dispatch the threats.
Following the school threats in Delhi, the Union Home Ministry emphasised the need for detailed protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to manage such situations. The ministry also highlighted the importance of improving security measures, including installing CCTV cameras and regularly monitoring emails in educational institutions.
