BJP hits back at Rahul Gandhi’s Sidhu Moosewala remark on exit polls, calling it ‘daydreaming’
PTC News Desk: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi responded to the exit poll results that indicated the BJP will win the Lok Sabha elections with a landslide, citing the song “295” by the late artist Sidhu Moosewala as evidence that the INDIA alliance will finally win 295 seats.
Gandhi made the accusation that “they were Modi media poll and fantasy poll” in an attempt to cast doubt on the exit polls. After the exit poll findings, the BJP was overjoyed and rejected Gandhi’s confidence as “daydreaming”.
“Wala ka song suna hai, Sidhu Moose? When questioned about the results of the exit poll, he joked, “(have you heard Sidhu Moosewala’s song)”
“This is a Modi media poll, not an exit survey. It’s his dream poll,” he continued.
In response to Gandhi’s statement, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad predicted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would secure 400 seats.
In India, daydreaming is not frowned upon. Only the precise poll is reflected in the exit polls. We’ll cross 40 in Bihar and 400 in Delhi (Centre),” he declared.
According to Union Minister RK Singh, the INDIA bloc’s mouth was forced shut by the exit polls.
“The INDI alliance has recognized that we believe we will win more seats than what the exit polls are indicating… Pakistan wants a weak government in India, which is why they believe that if politicians like Rahul Gandhi or Kejriwal win, Pakistan will have all the opportunity it needs to launch terrorist strikes here once more,” the speaker stated.
The INDIA group, led by Congress, claimed to the exit polls as fake.
KC Venugopal declared today that the “Indian alliance will get 295 seats and certainly form the government.” Jairam Ramesh, the head of the Congress, stated today that the coalition cannot win fewer than 295 seats.
The majority of exit polls said the alliance led by the BJP will win over 350 seats. According to at least three exit polls, the alliance might even succeed in gaining the alliance’s ambitious 400 seats. On June 4, the Lok Sabha election results will be tallied.
