The eighty-four-year-old is in route to Dhaka after spending time in Paris for a medical procedure. The nation’s military head announced that the caretaker administration would take an oath of office at 8:00 p.m. today.
He told reporters at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, according to Reuters, “Yes, I’m looking forward to going back home and seeing what’s happening there and how we can organise ourselves to get out of the trouble that we are in.”
