Actor Shreyas Talpade responds to death rumour: ‘I am alive, happy, and healthy’
PTC News Desk: Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade has addressed a distressing death rumor that recently spread across social media. In a series of Instagram posts, he reassured his fans of his well-being and criticised those responsible for the false information, which had caused considerable anxiety for him and his family.
The false rumor about Talpade’s death quickly gained traction online, leading to widespread concern among his followers. To counter the misinformation, Talpade issued a statement condemning the rumor spreaders and clarifying his current health status.
In his statement, Talpade wrote, “Dear All, I want to assure everyone that I am ALIVE, HAPPY, and HEALTHY. I have come across a viral post claiming my demise. While humor has its place, when misused, it can cause real harm. What might have started as a joke has now created unnecessary worry and emotional distress for those who care about me, particularly my family.”
Talpade continued, expressing concern for his young daughter: “My little daughter, who attends school daily, is already anxious about my health, constantly seeking reassurance. This false news exacerbates her fears, causing her to face additional questions from her peers and teachers, which adds to the emotional strain we are trying to manage as a family.”
In a follow-up post, he addressed the trolls directly: “To those propagating this false content, I urge you to reflect on the impact of your actions. Many people have genuinely prayed for my well-being, and it’s disheartening to see humor used in a manner that hurts sentiments and disrupts lives. Spreading such rumors doesn’t just affect the individual targeted—it also impacts their family, especially young children who may not fully grasp the situation but feel the emotional toll.”
Talpade concluded his message with gratitude: “I am deeply thankful to everyone who has reached out to check on me during this time. Your concern and love mean a great deal. To the trolls, I have one request: please stop. Don’t make jokes at the expense of others, and avoid doing this to anyone else. It’s essential to be sensitive and not chase engagement and likes at the cost of others’ feelings. Love Always, Shreyas Talpade.”
In December 2023, Shreyas Talpade experienced a heart attack and was promptly hospitalized. Reflecting on his recovery, he described it as a ‘second chance at life.’ Currently, Talpade is engaged in filming his upcoming movie, Welcome to the Jungle.
