Road crash in Rajasthan claims lives of six pilgrims
PTC News Desk: A tragic road accident occurred early on Sunday in Bundi district, Rajasthan, when a speeding truck collided with a van, resulting in the deaths of six pilgrims and injuries to three others, according to police reports.
The incident happened around 5 am as nine pilgrims from Devas district in Madhya Pradesh were travelling to the Khatu Shyam temple in Sikar district. The collision happened when the truck, which had veered onto the wrong side of the road, struck the van head-on.
The victims, who were aged between 16 and 40, have been identified as Madan Nayak, Mangilal Nayak, Mahesh Nayak, Rajesh, and Punam. One of the deceased has not yet been identified. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Circle Inspector Pavan Meena from Hindoli police station stated that a search operation has been initiated to locate the truck involved in the accident. The police are actively investigating the incident to determine the cause and hold those responsible accountable.
