Amit Shah and JP Nadda meet ahead of crucial BJP meeting on Haryana candidate selection
PTC News Desk: Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Union Minister Amit Shah, gathered at the residence of party president JP Nadda on Thursday to deliberate on potential candidates for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections.
This meeting was held in anticipation of the BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting scheduled for later that evening, where the committee could finalize its list of candidates for the elections slated for October 1.
The CEC comprises key figures such as BJP chief J.P. Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, among others.

In addition to Amit Shah, other prominent attendees at the core group meeting included Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is overseeing the party’s election strategy in Haryana, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Deputy Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and BJP Haryana unit president Mohan Lal Badoli. They gathered at Nadda’s residence to carefully review and discuss the list of potential candidates submitted by the state party leaders.
Earlier in the day, Dharmendra Pradhan had convened a separate meeting with Haryana BJP leaders at his own residence to further strategise for the upcoming elections.
