Healthcare services across state-run hospitals in West Bengal have been severely disrupted as junior doctors continue their strike for the 15th consecutive day. The strike, which began in response to the brutal attack, shows no signs of ending, despite an appeal from the Supreme Court urging the doctors to return to work.
Meanwhile, former RG Kar Hospital Principal Sandip Ghosh, who has become a central figure in the ongoing investigation, faced another round of questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for the seventh consecutive day. The local court has granted the CBI’s request to conduct a polygraph test on Ghosh, further intensifying the scrutiny surrounding his role in the case.
