According to sources cited by the Times of India, the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when the crew member, along with other Air India staff, was staying at the hotel. The attacker entered her room while she was asleep, startling her awake. As she screamed for help, the intruder assaulted her with a clothes hanger and dragged her across the floor as she tried to reach the door.
