In the men’s javelin final at the Paris Olympics, the Tokyo champion took home a silver medal. Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters to win the gold medal, a surprise to the athletics community.

Neeraj Chopra’s second attempt resulted in a best performance of 89.45m, adding an Olympic silver medal to his already impressive trophy collection.
