PM Modi criticises Opposition ahead of Parliament Session: ‘Attempted to muzzle me’
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for unity on Monday, asking opposition parties to put their differences behind them and collaborate with the government to advance India’s growth.
Speaking to the media prior to the commencement of the Parliament’s Monsoon Session, Prime Minister Modi said, “I would like to request all the MPs of the country that from January till now we have fought as much as we had to, but now that period is over, the public has given its mandate.”
“I would like to ask all the parties to rise above party lines and dedicate themselves to the country and use this dignified platform,” he said, urging the opposition to set aside differences and work together for the good of the country.

As his NDA alliance begins its third consecutive term—a “milestone not achieved in 60 years,” the prime minister made this request. He emphasised the significance of Budget 2024 in influencing the future while reaffirming his adherence to the commitments given to the voters.
