Congress blames INDIA Bloc ally AAP for Lok Sabha loss in Delhi: ‘Due to excise scam…’
PTC News Desk: The Congress has held the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), an ally of the INDIA bloc, accountable for their defeat in the Delhi Lok Sabha polls.
“We in Congress urged that the then-government carry out a thorough inquiry after we revealed the excise swindle. Even after filing the case for 18 months, the ED and CBI accomplished nothing. However, they detained Arvind Kejriwal less than a month before the Lok Sabha elections, according to Congressman Abhishek Dutt, who spoke to ANI.
‘Cong suffered due to excise scam’: Dutt
Dutt went on to criticize AAP further, saying, “I think Congress’ seats would have gained in the elections if we had not contested the elections with them. The Excise scandal caused the Congress to lose the Lok Sabha elections.”
“Satyendar Kumar Jain’s role in the scam landed him in jail. Congress has lost because of all of them, including Manish Sisodia, who is in jail,” he continued.
When Delhi minister Atishi temporarily went on a fast to pressure the Haryana government into releasing more water for the Capital, Dutt aimed his guns on her.

“AAP is losing because Atishi is creating controversy by sitting on the Dharna. The minister’s responsibility is to give the people full amenities. The Congress leader remarked, “They are doing dharna and there is no water in Delhi.”
The Congress has previously taken potshots at the AAP, alongside whom it ran in all seven of Delhi’s seats in the 2024 general election. The BJP kept all seven of the capital’s constituencies for the third time in a row, while the partners of the INDI bloc were unable to win a single seat.
Chief of the Delhi Congress, Devender Yadav, had also criticised the AAP for causing waterlogging in many areas of the city as a result of excessive rain.
“Waterlogging has occurred in every part of Delhi today, including parks, railway stations, airports, and residential areas. Delhi came to a halt for the first time. We have been sending letters to the government on a daily basis alerting them about the impending monsoon, but as we have seen today, the Delhi administration flees during emergencies “Yadav had told PTI.
The Congress was retaliated against by Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who stated, “Opposition parties in the nation are battling to safeguard the constitution…It is not good that the opposition parties are divided. Local authorities in many states possess the entitlement to voice their opinions.”
