Reasi terror attack: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has approved an ex-gratia payment of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those killed in the terror attack on a bus in Reasi district, an official spokesman said on Monday. An amount of Rs 50,000 each has also been approved for those injured in the attack.
The incident in Reasi was reported on Sunday when terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims, leading to the deaths of nine persons and injuries to 41 others. The 53-seater bus, travelling from the Shiv Khori temple to Katra, veered off the road after the attack and fell into a deep gorge near Teryath village in the Poni area.
The spokesman said district administration had established a control room to provide necessary assistance to those affected. Efforts are underway to neutralise the perpetrators of the terror attack.
