PTC News Desk: Close assistant to former Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik, VK Pandian, said on Sunday that he would be leaving politics after the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) was humiliated in the Lok Sabha and assembly elections.

“I have now made the deliberate decision to step back from active politics. If I have offended anyone along this journey, I apologize. In a video statement, VK Pandian apologized if the narrative being used against him contributed to BJD’s defeat.
