Punjab Lok Sabha Elections Results 2024 LIVE UPDATES | The counting of votes for Punjab Lok Sabha Results 2024 begins in 13 constituencies amid tight security.
Punjab Lok Sabha Polls 2024 concluded on June 1 for 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab and the lone Chandigarh seat and the votes counting are underway with counting trends and results available on the PTC News website, ECI Website at results.eci.gov.in and on Voter Helpline App.
Punjab divided into 13 constituencies represents a diverse mix of urban and rural areas. Key constituencies of Punjab are – Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Khadoor Sahib, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Anandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Firozpur, Bathinda, Sangrur, Patiala, which are known for their significant political activity and voter engagement.
Counting to take Place at 117 Centres across Punjab
A total of 117 counting centres have been established in the state, in 48 buildings and at 27 locations. While most of these locations are situated in district headquarters, 7 locations are outside district headquarters, including Ajnala, Baba Bakala, Abohar, Malout, Dhuri, Chhokra Rahon-Nawanshahr and Khooni Majra (Kharar), he added. He further informed that the counting will not be conducted at the district headquarters in Sangrur and Nawanshahr.
Punjab Exit Polls 2024 | Voter turnout in 13 constituencies of Punjab
Punjab records 62.80 per cent voter turnout for 13 seats. Amritsar lagged significantly behind in voter turnout, contrasting sharply with Bathinda, which was leading in participation. Gurdaspur followed closely behind Bathinda, indicating a more engaged electorate in these regions. This variance in voter turnout highlights the uneven levels of enthusiasm and participation across Punjab’s constituencies.

– Ferozepur: 67.02 per cent
– Gurdaspur: 66.67 per cent
– Sangrur: 64.63 per cent
– Patiala: 63.63 per cent
– Faridkot: 63.34 per cent
– Khadoor Sahib: 62.55 per cent
– Fatehgarh Sahib: 62.53 per cent
– Anandpur Sahib: 61.98 per cent
– Ludhiana: 60.12 per cent
– Jalandhar: 59.70 per cent
– Hoshiarpur: 58.86 per cent
– Amritsar: 56.06 per cent
Exit Poll Insights: Congress’s Edge
According to the exit polls analysis shared by senior journalists on PTC News, the Congress party appears to have an edge in Punjab. Out of the 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state, Congress is showing strong performance in several key constituencies.
