Kangana Ranaut plans to retire from bollywood following Lok Sabha elections victory, citing industry’s deception
PTC News Desk: Kangana Ranaut has made references to leaving Bollywood following the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. In a recent interview with a news channel, Kangana acknowledged that she believes the Hindi film industry to be “fake” and that she may transition to active politics.

The actor from Emergency was asked if, should she win the Mandi constituency in the polls, she will leave Bollywood. “Yes,” was her response. Kangana went on to say, “Everything in the film industry is fraudulent; it’s a deception. They establish a totally distinct atmosphere. The purpose of this dazzling, false bubble-like world is to draw in viewers. This is how things really are. I have a strong sense of passion. I’ve never desired a job just to get by. I have a really fertile imagination, and I want to be deeply involved. I even start writing in movies, and when I grow tired of acting, I produce or direct.
Concerning Kangana Ranaut
Kangana is running for office from her hometown of Mandi, marking her political debut. She is presently preoccupied with her campaigning and represents the Bhartiya Janata Party. With Anurag Basu’s Gangster, the actor made her Bollywood debut.
Mahesh Bhatt produced the film, which also included Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja in important parts. With roles in Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana soared to stardom.
Future projects starring Kangana Ranaut
The June release date of Emergency, directed by Kangana, has been further postponed. The movie is based on the 21 months between 1975 and 1977, during which time former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi proclaimed a nationwide state of emergency. Kangana portrays Indira Gandhi in the historical political drama. Noti Binodini, Sita: The Incarnation, and an untitled thriller starring R Madhavan are among her next projects.
