Arvind Kejriwal in Amritsar: Delhi CM’s mega roadshow today, plans visit to Golden Temple
PTC News Desk: Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, will launch his campaign for the Punjab Lok Sabha elections of 2024 on Thursday, with a massive roadshow. According to reports, Arvind Kejriwal will visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar and conduct a roadshow in support of Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) nominee.
The chief minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, said on Tuesday that Arvind Kejriwal, the counterpart from Delhi, would also make his obeisance at the Durgiana Mandir in Amritsar. Mann stated that with 13 MPs from Punjab, the AAP will be the largest partner in the central government after June 4.
“With 30 to 40 MPs, no one will be able to stop Punjab’s funds,” he claimed, adding that the party’s candidates are also winning seats in Delhi, Gujarat, Assam, and Kurukshetra.
According to the reports from The Indian Express, Arvind Kejriwal will visit the Golden Temple following his massive roadshow, which is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. It further stated that Amritsar, who was selected to serve as the AAP national convenor, desired to visit the Golden Temple on his maiden trip to Punjab upon his release from Tihar prison.
It is anticipated that Kejriwal, accompanied by Bhagwant Mann, will speak at multiple rallies and conduct roadshows across Punjab prior to the Lok Sabha elections.
Arvind Kejriwal hosted two roadshows for the Congress candidates on Wednesday in Model Town and Jahangirpuri, Delhi, during his first joint election campaign with the party.
The Delhi Congress has announced that Kejriwal will conduct roadshows in support of Congress candidates Jai Prakash Agarwal from Chandni Chowk, Udit Raj from North West Delhi, and Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi.
In Delhi, the Congress and AAP have a 3:4 seat-sharing arrangement. Remarkably, the AAP and Congress “mutually agreed” to compete together in Delhi but are still a part of the INDIA bloc and will fight separately in Punjab.
As per the seat-sharing arrangement among the members of the INDIA bloc in Delhi for the Lok Sabha elections, the AAP is standing for four seats, while the Congress has candidates in three constituencies.
