Building in Noida’s sector 65 engulfed in massive fire

PTC News Desk: A massive fire erupted at a building in Noida’s Sector 65 during the early hours of Sunday, prompting a swift response from emergency services. According to reports from the news agency ANI, 15 fire tenders rushed to the scene to combat the blaze.

The Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of Noida indicated that the fire likely originated from a short circuit, although the exact cause is yet to be confirmed. Fortunately, the fire has been successfully extinguished, averting any casualties or injuries.

Visuals shared by the news agency depict the flames engulfing the building from its base to the top floor, illustrating the intensity of the incident.

Pradeep Kumar, the CFO of Noida, provided details, stating, “We received information about the fire in a leather manufacturing company at around 4:30 am. 15 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene, and the fire has now been brought under control. It appears that the fire was triggered by a short circuit.”

This incident follows a major fire at the Ghazipur landfill site in East Delhi the previous Sunday, with authorities attributing the cause to hot and dry weather conditions. An FIR has been filed against unidentified individuals in connection with the landfill fire, with police initiating an investigation.

Furthermore, the Delhi government has instructed its environment department to submit a comprehensive report detailing the causes of the fire and proposing measures to prevent similar incidents during the summer season.

This recent fire in Noida evokes memories of a similar incident in March, where two flats in a residential society in Greater Noida West caught fire, necessitating the deployment of five fire tenders to extinguish the flames.
