11-year-old Pune boy passes away after cricket ball strike

PTC news Desk: Tragedy struck in Pune as an 11-year-old boy, Shaurya, succumbed to a fatal injury sustained while playing cricket with his friends. The devastating incident occurred when Shaurya, engrossed in the game, found himself in the path of a fiercely struck ball.

Caught off guard, the ball struck him with considerable force in his private area, causing him to collapse in agony as captured by a nearby CCTV camera.

Witnessing their friend’s distress, Shaurya’s companions swiftly came to his aid, attempting to revive him as he lay on the ground. Despite their efforts, the severity of the injury became apparent, prompting an urgent rush to a nearby private hospital. Tragically, medical intervention proved futile as doctors pronounced Shaurya’s passing.

The community is left reeling from the loss of this young life, grappling with the stark reality of a game turned fatal in an unforeseeable moment. Authorities have initiated an investigation, registering the incident as a case of accidental death. 

As condolences pour in for Shaurya’s family, this heartbreaking event serves as a poignant reminder of the fragile nature of life, even amidst moments of innocent play.
